Construction Beginning On New Embassy Suites

24 October 2011

The new Embassy Suites West Valley City is under construction, marking the cornerstone of the new Fairbourne Station redevelopment with the City’s only full-service hotel.

The Embassy Suites will be the first full-service hotel in West Valley City, offering 7,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, a restaurant, and indoor pool and recreation facilities. Its 162 guest suites will be equipped with the highest quality amenities such as two LCD HD televisions and the Embassy Essentials Bedding Collection with Serta Suite Dreams™ beds. Complimentary cooked-to-order breakfasts for every guest and a nightly manager’s reception ensures the guests of the Embassy Suites will be able to recharge and relax throughout the day. This hotel will be one of the first in the system to feature cutting-edge technology such as keyless smartphone door controls and check-in. The Embassy Suites West Valley will join 192 other Embassy Suites worldwide as a part of Hilton HHonors©, the world’s leading guest rewards program.

The hotel will become the cornerstone of Fairbourne Station, a $500 million mixed-use development encompassing 40 acres in the heart of West Valley City, a project that will soon become the focal point of Utah’s second largest city. When completed, the Embassy Suites will join 200,000 square feet of retail space, 200,000 square feet of office space, 1,000 urban residences, and four acres of urban lineal park and plaza space. The total development will take several years to complete. The Embassy Suites will be completed in late 2012, and will begin taking reservations for guests in fall 2011 for banquets, weddings, special events, and sleeping rooms.

West Valley Lodging Initiatives, the private developer on the project, is made up of three partners, all of which have long ties to the hospitality industry. Renascent Hospitality, based in Columbus, Ohio, through its key staff have managed and developed many hotels of all sizes and has a track record of outstanding projects in both the development and management of hotels. Renascent will manage the property. Taylor International, Inc., based in Las Vegas has built and was construction manager for some of the largest hotels in the world, including the MGM Grand and the Palazzo. Taylor will be general contractor for the hotel and provide construction management services. Trans-Marketing Group, Inc., of Chicago is one of the country’s premier logistics firms handling warehousing, transportation, and logistics for hotel projects around the world. TMG will be providing logistics and purchasing services for the hotel.

“This is a real victory for both the City of West Valley and for WVLI. We are excited to provide a great facility to the residents and guests of West Valley and look forward to a long partnership,” commented Scott Somerville, of West Valley Lodging Initatives.

The Embassy Suites will be located at the corner of 3500 South and Market Streets (3524 South Market Street), West Valley City, Utah.
